In the height of summer, khaki or denim shorts and T-shirts or polo shirts are appropriate daytime wear. A sundress and cardigan or chinos and a short-sleeved shirt are good options too. The heat can be scorching but he interior areas of the ship may be cold, though, so keep a scarf or sweatshirt handy.

Alcohol - Guests are not allowed to bring beer or hard liquor onboard . You may bring one (1) sealed 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne.
Don’t buy a drinks package (if you're not a big drinker). Drinks packages on ships are often quite pricey. Think hard about how much you typically drink on vacation — and what type of drink you typically order — before you commit to one of these packages. You may find it's less expensive to just pay as you go for your drinks.
Skip the buffet on your first day on board. Everybody boarding heads straight up to it. To avoid the first-day buffet crowds, head to whatever secondary dining option is available.

Don't feel like you have to do it all. It's OK if you miss a few things. In fact, you should force yourself to try to not do it all. Remember to relax, take some downtime or just seat and stare out at the ocean. You won't regret it.
Don't tip twice for drinks and spa treatments. Most cruise ships now automatically add a gratuity to bar bills, 18% to 20% of the total. Be sure to ask if a gratuity already has been included. Otherwise, you may end up tipping twice.
If you're going to play a lot in a shipboard casino, make sure you introduce yourself to the casino manager at the start of the trip and check to see if the line has a casino players card.

Please keep all travel documents on your person at the terminal; you’ll need to present them at check-in.
Don't overpack! You'll want to save room in your suitcase for all the little treasures you're going to find along the way.
It’s easier to travel around Europe with a smaller suitcase so use the smallest, lightest luggage you can manage.
Pack your bathing suit, maybe a change of clothes in your handbag or carry-on. You might not have access to your luggage for many hours on your first day on board.
Bring magnets with hooks so they can hang up clothes and other items on their walls.
Don’t carry all your credit cards, debits cards and cash in the same place. Just take one credit card and a bit of cash out and about with you when sightseeing. Keep the rest safely hidden in your safe or in your luggage.
Don’t buy photo packages. Photography is big business on many cruise ships.
Many cruise ships turn up the air conditioning at night. Pack a light sweater or dressy shawl to keep you comfortable in cool onboard restaurants and theaters.
